In New Hampshire, a fireplace manufacturing company, formerly known as Hearth Innovations, has been revolutionizing contemporary gas.
Through innovation, new technologies and sleek design, the NH-based company has been transforming modern rooms with their wall-mounted, direct vented products. As the products grew in popularity, the owners set out to refresh the branding of their company.
Translating Innovative Business Concepts to the Customer Brand Experience
Hearth Innovations engaged Ryco Design to create a more sophisticated, minimalist logo to align with its offering. Though the company name was Hearth Innovations, they were well known in the NH marketplace specifically for their SÓLAS fireplaces. Considering the sleek design of SÓLAS products had driven their brand recognition, Ryco Design recommended that this be the sole focus for its brand identity. The company agreed to adopt this approach and dropped Hearth Innovations altogether for the overall company branding. This set the stage for a completely new brand identity, including a new logo design, a new web design, messaging and collateral development.
Redefining a Modern Company Through Brand Identity and Web Design
Within two months, Ryco Design made a real push to create a visual brand that reflected the company’s style. The final logo design is minimal and modern, utilizing a simplistic font type and a splash of orange in the ‘O’ accent, symbolizing the color of a flame. This, complemented by the orange tagline, emphasizes the SÓLAS brand as the home of contemporary fire. The brand identity includes a refined color palette with orange as the primary color supported by modern fonts and a photographic style.
Ryco Design conducted website development from the bottom up, creating a new domain, via WordPress which substantially improved the functionality of the site. The web design features modern typography, concise messaging and sleek imagery that cements the elements of the brand. The site was developed with the customer experience in mind, featuring a stunning showcase gallery, detailed product descriptions, resources and news and events, all available through a mobile-friendly interface.

Ryco Design completed a full redesign along with graphics and materials library to match the new brand identity of the company. Immediately after, SÓLAS received compliments from clients on the rebrand. For over six years, Ryco Design has continued as a graphics and design partner to SÓLAS.
